Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila representing Surulere 1, Federal constituency of Lagos has emerged as the Majority leader of Nigeria’s House of Representatives today in a move to help calm a house frayed for weeks by leadership tussle. This comes after his failed bid to become Speaker and the emergence of Yakubu Dogara instead.

Mr. Gbajabiamila emerged the All Progressives Congress caucus leader hours after the House leaders met with the leadership of the ruling APC in Abuja.
Buba Jibrin has been named Deputy house leader, Alhassan Doguwa the Chief Whip and Pally Iriase Deputy Chief Whip. Chukwuma Onyema and Leo Ogor emerged as Minority house leader and deputy minority house leader respectively.
