Abia state governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu who stated that he would slash his monthly salary and also his travelling allowances by 50% until the state addresses the issue of salary it owed it's workers.
Ikpeazu made this revelation while swearing-in Dr. Vivian Uma as the state's new Head of Service (HOS), at the state capital Umuahia.
He promised to do everything possible in his own capacity to ensure salaries and allowances are paid within the possible time frame.
The governor who further charged the new state Head of Service (HOS), Dr. Vivan Uma to be dedicated and to ensure that efforts are realised in bringing the civil service to its best.
