Fayose reacts to NASS elections Applauds Buhari

Following the 'controversy' that trial the national assembly elections yesterday Governor of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose attested that the election truly shows that Nigeria belongs to no individual.

Speaking through his special assistant on public communications and new media, Lere Olayinka, the governor explained further that the result of the national assembly election shows that what goes round will definitely come round.

The outcome of the election should serve as a big lesson to”those who believe that they can turn Nigeria to their personal estate. They must have realised the futility of their efforts and the beneficiaries of this collective resolve by Nigerians must make sure that they do not fail the country.” he said

Fayose, who is impressed that President Buhari did not interfere in the process ‘said:  “President Mohammadu Buhari further demonstrated that as he said in his inaugural speech, he is indeed for everybody, and belong to nobody.
“What happened at the National Assembly today has rekindled my hope in the Nigeria Nation and my abiding faith in the supremacy of the people over those whose major interest is to assume the sole-ownership of the country. It also shows that it is not in all cases that the soul of this nation can be bought off the shelf with stupendous wealth.”
Fayose congratulated Senator Bukola Saraki, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Hon Yakubu Dogara and Hon Yusuf Sulaimon Lasun for their victories.
He however advice the new leaders to see the victory as a call to service their father land and not for personal gains.
