The Central Bank of Nigeria, whom with the Bankers’ Committee collaborated with all banks in the federation on February 14, 2014 to launch a centralized biometric identification system for the banking industry tagged Bank Verification Number (BVN).
With the last minute extension by the Bankers’ Committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria, saying it will on Wednesday start to deny about 14.6 million customers from enjoying banking services over their failure to obtain Bank Verification Numbers.
Due to this directives customers where seen in their large numbers forcing their way into the banking hall to meet up with the registration Exercise before the deadline.
