Yusuf Suleiman Lasun has been elected the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives. 

According to NTA, the politician beat Tahir Munguno with 203 votes to 153. Social media users conclude: “PDP will have a big say in Buhari’s government “.

Earlier today Yakubu Dogara emerged speaker of the House of Representatives and Bukola Saraki – Senate president. Both outcomes generated a series of reactions. The All Progressives Congress rejected the results calling the election “unacceptable”.

However, President Muhammadu Buhari took the view that a constitutional process had somewhat occurred.
