Saraki vows not to Return to PDP despite party crises

The president of the senate Bukola Saraki have made a statement regarding a rumour that he might decamp back to PDP.  He made it known that he had no plans to join any other party, he is in APC and ready to stay.

Despite riding on the support of PDP law-makers to become president of the eighth senate, Bukola Saraki, says there is no chance he would return to his former party in the aftermath of his party’s unfavourable disposition to his new office.

"Is it now that the party is out of Government and in opposition that I will now return having worked so hard for my party in the last general elections,” he queried
He also described Buhari’s reaction to Tuesday’s
election as a “great mark of leadership” and a demonstration of his commitment to democracy.

But APC leadership still insist Saraki is not the preferred candidate of the party and would take adequate measure to make him pay for it. Saraki was alleged to have boycotted the meeting with the President at the International Conference Centre (ICC), in Abuja.  Though senator Lawani has filed a law suit againt Sakari emergence as Senate President saying he isn't the party's consensus candidate.

However, Sakari insisted his emergence as Senate President was 'constitutionally right' and cannot be contested in the court of law.
